Every child deserves to have a holiday and gifts, not sleepless nights with air raid alarms and a constant sense of danger.
Our team tried to create a small holiday for IDP children and kids living in frontline towns.
To help the children experience the holiday to the fullest, we asked them to write a letter and draw a picture of St. Nicholas. Over the course of the project, we received thousands of letters and photos from children who dreamed of meeting St. Nicholas and having a real holiday during such dark times.
We sent gifts from St. Nicholas to kids all over Ukraine, and with those who were able to come, we organized a real meeting with fairy-tale characters and handed out gifts to everyone personally.
Happy eyes and sincere smiles made even this cold December day warm. We work for this every day and bring peace back to every Ukrainian family!
